Description

A cozy blend of cinnamon-spiced apples and golden waffle donuts, topped with a sweet glaze—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

For the donuts:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

2/3 cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon melted butter

1 cup peeled and finely diced apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Nonstick cooking spray

For the glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease with nonstick spray.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and granulated sugar.

In another bowl, mix milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Add to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

In a small bowl, toss diced apples with brown sugar, then fold into the batter.

Spoon batter into the preheated waffle maker and spread evenly. Cook for 3–5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove and let cool slightly on a wire rack.

While donuts cool, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.

Drizzle glaze generously over warm donuts and allow to set before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add a few chopped pecans or walnuts to the batter.

These are best served warm but can be reheated in a toaster or oven.

Try swapping in pears or adding nutmeg for a cozy twist.

Use a mini waffle maker for bite-sized versions perfect for kids or brunch platters.
