Description
This hearty breakfast pizza combines flaky biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, eggs, and cheese for the ultimate morning comfort food.
Ingredients
For the biscuit crust:
1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade biscuit dough)
1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for brushing)
For the sausage gravy:
½ lb breakfast sausage
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups whole milk
Salt and black pepper, to taste
¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
For the toppings:
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
2 tablespoons chopped chives or green onions (optional)
Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
Prepare biscuit crust: Flatten and press biscuits into the prepared pan, pinching edges to form a crust. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
Make sausage gravy: Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Stir in flour and cook 1–2 minutes. Slowly whisk in milk, cooking until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook scrambled eggs: In a skillet, melt butter and gently scramble eggs until just set (they will finish cooking in the oven).
Assemble the pizza: Spread sausage gravy over biscuit crust. Top with scrambled eggs and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for another 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with chives or red pepper flakes if desired. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicier version, use hot sausage or add jalapeños.
Use a store-bought sausage gravy for quicker prep.
Add hash browns, bacon bits, or sautéed veggies to customize.
Great for meal prep—leftovers reheat well!
