Description

This caramel brownie cheesecake is the ultimate layered dessert, combining fudgy brownie, creamy cheesecake, and rich salted caramel for a decadent treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

For the Brownie Layer:

1 cup unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Cheesecake Layer:

16 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sour cream

For the Caramel Sauce:

1 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.

Make Brownie Layer:

Melt butter and stir in sugar.

Whisk in eggs and vanilla until combined.

Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix into wet ingredients.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes. Let cool.

Make Cheesecake Layer:

Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream.

Pour over cooled brownie base and bake for 30–35 minutes until set.

Make Caramel Sauce:

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar until golden.

Stir in butter until melted, then slowly add heavy cream (careful—it will bubble).

Stir in sea salt. Let cool slightly.

Assemble:

Drizzle cooled caramel over the cheesecake.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality cocoa powder for the richest brownie base.

Ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.

Caramel can be made ahead and stored in the fridge; reheat slightly before drizzling.

Garnish with extra sea salt, chocolate shavings, or whipped cream.
