Description
This comfort food fusion wraps juicy ground beef, caramelized onions, crispy fries, cheese, and animal-style sauce in a warm tortilla—burger meets burrito magic.
Ingredients
For the burritos:
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
1 cup French fries, cooked until crispy
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
For the animal-style sauce:
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
½ teaspoon mustard
Dash of hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions until soft and caramelized, about 5 minutes.
Push onions aside, add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned (6–8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
Warm tortillas until pliable.
Assemble each burrito with beef, onions, fries, cheeses, and a drizzle of sauce.
Fold in sides and roll tightly into burritos.
Optional: crisp burritos seam-side down in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side.
Serve hot with extra sauce.
Notes
Swap fries for tater tots, add chopped pickles or jalapeños for extra flavor.
Try bacon bits or a fried egg for added indulgence.
Use vegan cheese and mayo for a dairy-free version.
Pre-make the beef filling for quick assembly later.
