Description
An easy ground beef pasta recipe featuring bowtie noodles tossed in a garlic butter cream sauce with Parmesan. Comfort food perfection in one pan.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
1 lb ground beef
3 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1½ cups shredded Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Grated Parmesan, for garnish
Instructions
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
Brown the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with salt and pepper until browned. Break it apart with a spoon, drain excess fat, and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Liquids & Spices
Pour in the beef broth, letting it simmer for 3–4 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer to thicken slightly.
Stir in Cheese
Add shredded Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and sauce is smooth.
Combine & Finish
Return the beef and pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed to thin the sauce.
Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot.
Notes
Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
Add veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for more nutrition.
For a spicier version, use more red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce.
Use mozzarella or cheddar instead of Parmesan for a different flavor twist.
