Description

This hearty burrito is stuffed with seasoned ground beef, tender shredded beef, melty cheese, and fresh toppings—perfect for satisfying Tex-Mex cravings.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp ground cumin

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 cup shredded beef (leftover roast or deli-style)

4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup diced tomatoes

¼ cup chopped green onions

2 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Optional: sour cream, sliced jalapeños, hot sauce

Instructions

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté ground beef until browned (5–7 minutes).

Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat.

Warm tortillas until pliable.

Divide ground beef among tortillas. Top with shredded beef, cheese, tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro.

Fold ends, then roll tightly into burritos.

Optional: Grill seam-side down in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side to crisp.

Serve warm with sour cream, jalapeños, or hot sauce.

Notes

Use Monterey Jack or pepper jack for variation.

Add refried beans or Spanish rice for a heartier burrito.

Substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.

Use leftover pot roast or deli beef for the shredded layer.
