Description

A family-friendly dinner made with ground beef, cheddar cheese, and golden biscuits baked to perfection. Comfort food at its easiest!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 tube Pillsbury biscuits (8 count)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 small onion, chopped

Seasoning to taste (e.g., Montreal Steak seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder)

Instructions

Preheat oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a glass or ceramic baking dish (7×9 or 9×11 works). Separate biscuits in half. Line dish with biscuit bottoms. Bake for 5 minutes.

Cook filling: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion in a little oil until softened (about 5 minutes). Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain grease.

Season beef: Stir in preferred seasonings (Montreal Steak seasoning recommended).

Assemble bake: Spread beef mixture evenly over pre-baked biscuit bottoms. Top with shredded cheddar. Place uncooked biscuit tops over cheese.

Bake casserole: Return dish to oven and bake 20–25 minutes, or until biscuit tops are golden brown.

Serve: Slice and serve warm, plain or with cheeseburger toppings (pickles, ketchup, mustard, etc.).

Notes

Partially bake biscuit bottoms first to prevent sogginess.

Try customizing with bacon, jalapeños, or a mix of cheeses.

Serve with a simple side salad or fries for a complete meal.
