Description

Made with yellow cake mix, cream cheese, and colorful sprinkles, these gooey cookies are perfect for cookie exchanges, gift boxes, or a cozy holiday baking day.

Ingredients

For the Cookies:

8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix

½ cup holiday sprinkles

For Rolling:

½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Mix in the cake mix until a thick, sticky dough forms.

Gently fold in holiday sprinkles, being careful not to overmix.

Chill the dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.

Scoop into 1½-inch balls, roll in powdered sugar, and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft.

Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Use brick-style full-fat cream cheese for best results.

Chilling the dough is crucial to prevent spreading.

Handle sprinkles gently to avoid color bleeding.
