Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 ripe tomatoes, diced
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 5–7 minutes until golden.
In a bowl, mix tomatoes, garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes to develop flavor.
Spoon tomato mixture over toasted baguette slices.
Optional: drizzle with more olive oil, or top with mozzarella or Parmesan shavings.
Serve immediately to retain crisp texture.
