This creamy banana milkshake is rich, smooth, and naturally sweet, made with ripe bananas, vanilla ice cream, and cold milk for a classic treat.
Ingredients
1 large, very ripe banana, roughly chopped
1 generous scoop vanilla ice cream
1 cup (240 ml) cold whole milk
Optional Toppings:
Dollop of whipped cream
Light dusting of ground cinnamon
A few banana chips
1 maraschino cherry
Instructions
Prepare the Banana:
Peel and chop the ripe banana. Using a very ripe banana adds natural sweetness and flavor—no extra sugar needed.
Blend the Base:
In a blender, combine the banana, vanilla ice cream, and cold milk. Secure the lid.
Blend Until Smooth:
Pulse to break up the banana, then blend on high for 30–45 seconds until thick, frothy, and fully smooth.
Assemble and Serve:
Pour into a tall, chilled glass. Top with whipped cream, cinnamon, banana chips, and a cherry if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.
Notes
For a thicker milkshake, use frozen banana slices or add extra ice cream.
Use plant-based milk and dairy-free ice cream for a vegan version.
