Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 tbsp butter, melted
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Prep Oven & Dish: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
Make Cracker Coating: In a shallow bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Coat Chicken: Spread sour cream evenly over each chicken breast. Dredge in the cracker mixture, pressing firmly to coat all sides.
Assemble & Bake: Place coated chicken in the prepared dish. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
Add Cheese: During the last 5 minutes, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and return to the oven until melted.
Finish & Serve: Remove from oven, let rest briefly, then garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
For extra crispiness, bake uncovered and avoid crowding the dish.
Chicken thighs can be used, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
Make ahead by assembling up to 24 hours before baking.
