Description

Delicious crispy salmon patties made with canned pink salmon, fresh veggies, and a blend of spices—perfect for a quick and tasty meal.

Ingredients

12 oz canned pink salmon, drained and flaked

2 large eggs

¼ cup diced onions

¼ cup diced bell peppers

2 tbsp cornmeal

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp hot sauce (such as Texas Pete)

½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

1 slice white bread, crumbled

¼ cup flour (adjust as needed)

Instructions

Prepare Salmon: Drain salmon well, remove any bones, and flake with a fork.

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine salmon, eggs, onions, bell peppers, cornmeal, salt, garlic powder, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Add Bread & Adjust: Fold in crumbled bread. If the mixture feels too wet, gradually add flour until it holds its shape.

Shape Patties: Form into 4 equal patties.

Cook: Heat oil or shortening in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Drain briefly on paper towels. Serve hot, either plain with dipping sauce or in a sandwich.

Notes

For extra crunch, coat patties lightly in breadcrumbs before frying.

Leftover patties reheat well in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 10 minutes.

Serve with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or a fresh salad.
