Description

Bring the magic of Disney parks to your kitchen with this rich, thick, and creamy hot chocolate. Made with cocoa, cream, and sweetened condensed milk for that authentic taste.

Ingredients

For the Hot Chocolate Base

23 cups whole milk

½ cup heavy whipping cream

½ cup high-quality cocoa powder (Dutch-processed preferred)

12 tbsp grated milk chocolate

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

⅛ tsp vanilla extract

For Topping and Serving

Whipped cream

Ground cinnamon

Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

Heat Milk and Cream: In a medium saucepan, combine whole milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium until steaming with small bubbles at the edges (do not boil).

Mix Cocoa and Chocolate: In a small bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and grated chocolate. Add ½ cup of the hot milk mixture and whisk until smooth.

Combine: Pour the cocoa mixture back into the saucepan, whisking constantly. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined and smooth.

Simmer: Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3–5 minutes, whisking often, until thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon. Adjust with more milk if thinner consistency is desired.

Serve: Ladle into mugs. Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and chocolate shavings if desired. Serve immediately for the authentic Disney park experience.

Notes

Use high-quality cocoa and chocolate (brands like Ghirardelli or Scharffen Berger) for the most authentic taste.

Storage: Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop—avoid microwaving to prevent separation.

Can be doubled or tripled easily for larger gatherings.

Adjust sweetness by reducing or adding a little less condensed milk.
