Description

Bold, cheesy, and full of flavor—this easy Dorito taco salad is perfect for family lunches, potlucks, or taco night at home.

Ingredients

1 large bag Dorito Nacho Cheese chips, broken into smaller pieces (not crumbs)

1 pound lean ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

½ cup Italian dressing

2 cups ranch dressing

1 red onion, diced

2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

1 head lettuce, shredded

6 tomatoes, chopped

Instructions

Cook the Beef:

In a skillet, crumble and brown the ground beef over medium heat.

Drain excess fat from the pan.

Season & Simmer:

Add the taco seasoning, Italian dressing, and ranch dressing to the skillet.

Stir well and simmer until the liquid is mostly absorbed.

Prep the Veggies:

Shred the lettuce, chop the tomatoes, and dice the red onion.

Place each ingredient in separate bowls or prep containers.

Assemble or Serve Buffet-Style:

For a make-your-own setup, let everyone build their own salad with beef, veggies, shredded cheese, and crushed Doritos.

Or mix everything together in a large bowl and serve immediately.

Notes

Customizable: Add black beans, avocado, olives, or jalapeños for extra flavor.

Make Ahead: Prep all components separately and assemble just before serving to keep it crisp.

Leftovers: Store components individually in the fridge for up to 2–3 days.

Vegan Option: Use plant-based meat, dairy-free cheese, and vegan ranch.
