Description

These sweet and tangy sloppy joes are made with ground beef, barbecue sauce, and Dr. Pepper for a flavor-packed twist on the classic sandwich — ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

½ cup green bell pepper, finely chopped

1 cup barbecue sauce (smoky or hickory recommended)

½ cup Dr. Pepper

Salt and pepper, to taste

Hamburger buns


Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper.

Cook until beef is browned and vegetables are soft. Drain excess fat.

Stir in barbecue sauce and Dr. Pepper. Mix well to combine.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve warm on hamburger buns.
