Description

A moist, fluffy cake filled with fresh apples and creamy yogurt—perfect for breakfast, snacking, or a light dessert.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup plain yogurt (whole-milk or Greek)

½ cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 medium apples, peeled and diced

Optional: 1 tsp ground cinnamon or ¼ cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8-inch round or square baking pan.

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, beat sugar, yogurt, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

Add dry ingredients to wet and stir until just combined.

Fold in apples and optional cinnamon or nuts.

Pour into pan, smooth top, and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use Greek yogurt for a denser, richer texture.

Add cinnamon or nuts for extra depth and crunch.
