Description
This garlic chicken pasta features tender chicken strips in a creamy mushroom-Parmesan sauce, all tossed with your favorite pasta. A comforting, 30-minute dinner made in one skillet.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (sliced into strips)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp dried thyme
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups cooked pasta
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through (7–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms soften (about 5 minutes).
Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, and thyme. Simmer 5–7 minutes until sauce thickens.
Return chicken to the skillet and mix with sauce.
Stir in Parmesan until melted and sauce is smooth.
Serve over cooked pasta, spooning extra sauce on top.
Notes
Use boneless thighs for richer flavor.
Substitute rosemary for thyme or add a splash of white wine.
Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for a veggie boost.
Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
