Description

Soft, golden breadsticks topped with garlic butter, melty mozzarella, and Parmesan — perfect for pizza night or dipping in marinara.

Ingredients

For the Dough:

1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

For the Topping:

2 tablespoons melted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Stir in olive oil, salt, and flour until dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5–6 minutes until smooth.

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 45–60 minutes until doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll dough into a ½-inch thick rectangle and place on prepared baking sheet.

Mix melted butter and garlic, and brush over the dough.

Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning evenly over the top.

Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.

Slice into breadsticks and serve warm with marinara or ranch.

Notes

Add crushed red pepper flakes or fresh basil for extra flavor.

Fold pepperoni or sausage into the dough for a heartier version.

Mix up the cheese with cheddar or provolone for a different melt.

Use pre-made dough for a faster version.

For gluten-free breadsticks, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour substitute.
