Description

This simple baked dessert combines fresh peaches and a golden, spiced crumble for a rustic, comforting treat that’s quick to make.

Ingredients

Peach Filling:

7 cups fresh peaches, sliced

½ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup cornstarch

¼ teaspoon salt

Crumble Topping:

1½ cups all-purpose flour

⅔ cup brown sugar

1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C).

Make Peach Filling: In a 2 to 2.5-quart baking dish, combine peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.

Make Crumble Topping: In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in melted butter until mixture becomes crumbly.

Assemble: Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the peach filling in the baking dish.

Bake: Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.

Cool & Serve: Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Fruit Mix-In: Add blueberries or nectarines for a flavor twist.

Spice it Up: A pinch of nutmeg or ginger adds warmth to the crumble.

Nut Crunch: Add chopped pecans or almonds to the topping for extra texture.

Peeling Optional: Peaches can be used peeled or unpeeled depending on preference
