Description

A cozy fall-inspired treat, these maple donut bars are soft, moist, and packed with warm maple flavor. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert lovers craving comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

For the Donut Bars:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

For the Maple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

23 tbsp pure maple syrup

1 tbsp milk or cream

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

Add in eggs, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the bars cool completely in the pan.

Make the glaze:
9. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and salt until smooth.
10. Once bars are cool, spread the maple glaze over the top. Allow to set before slicing.

Notes

Use real maple syrup, not pancake syrup, for best flavor.

Add a handful of chopped toasted pecans to the glaze for texture and a nutty twist.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for longer shelf life.
