Description

Quick and easy broiled salmon that’s tender, flaky, and full of flavor—ready in just 15 minutes for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin-on or skinless, bones removed

1/2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil

Pinch of sea salt

Pinch of black pepper

Pinch of garlic powder

Instructions

Position your oven rack about 8 inches from the broiler. Preheat broiler to HIGH. Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.

Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and place skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Broil the salmon for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Note: Cooking time will vary depending on thickness and desired doneness.

Remove from the oven, transfer to a plate, and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your fillets.

Works with skin-on or skinless salmon.

You can broil an entire side of salmon using this method—just add a few more minutes.

Position the fillets directly under the broiler flame for even cooking.

Ideal for Sockeye, Atlantic, or King salmon varieties.
