Description

This easy 3-ingredient casserole is the perfect no-fuss breakfast! With flaky biscuits, savory sausage, and creamy gravy, it’s comfort food made simple.

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork sausage (any kind – regular, spicy, or maple)

2 (2.75 oz) packets of peppered gravy mix (or your favorite variety)

12 (16.3 oz) cans refrigerated homestyle biscuits (see Notes)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage into crumbles. Drain or blot excess grease.

Prepare gravy packets according to package directions (typically boiling water + whisking).

Mix the cooked sausage and hot gravy together in the prepared casserole dish.

Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters or bite-sized pieces and spread evenly over the sausage and gravy mixture.

Bake on the center rack for 20+ minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown on top.

Serve warm, optionally with eggs, fruit, or hash browns for a full breakfast spread.

Notes

Serving Size: One can of biscuits works for smaller groups; use two cans for more servings or extra fluffy topping.

Flavor Tips: Try spicy pork sausage for heat or season your gravy with garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne, or salt to taste.

Side Ideas: Great with scrambled eggs, crispy hash browns, bacon, fresh fruit, or avocado.

Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
