Why You’ll Love This Recipe

I Enjoy Making These Mini Pizzas Because They’re Creative, Interactive, And Tasty All At Once. I Can Turn Simple Ingredients Into Festive Shapes, And Everyone Loves Helping Decorate Their Own. I Also Like That They’re quick to prepare and don’t require yeast dough, which makes them ideal for last-minute Halloween snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

(Here’s A Tip: Check Out The Full List Of Ingredients And Measurements In The Recipe Card Below.)

Pizza Sauce:

  • 28 Ounce Can Whole Tomatoes, Drained

  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 1 Teaspoon White Wine Vinegar

  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano

  • Salt And Freshly Ground Black Pepper To Taste

Mini Halloween Pizzas:

  • 3 10-Inch Flour Tortillas

  • 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil

  • 4 Slices Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1 Slice Cheddar Cheese

  • 4 Large Black Olives

  • ¼ Cup Pizza Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Directions

  1. I Prepare The Pizza Sauce By Blending Drained Tomatoes, Garlic, Olive Oil, Vinegar, And Oregano In A Food Processor Until Smooth. I Season With Salt And Pepper.

  2. I Preheat The Oven To 400°F And Line A Baking Sheet With Non-Stick Foil.

  3. I Cut Six 4½–5-Inch Circles From The Tortillas. I Brush Both Sides With Olive Oil And Cook In A Skillet Until Golden, About 2–3 Minutes Per Side.

  4. I Cut Shapes From The Cheese: Baby Ghosts, A Friendly Ghost, A Pac-Man Ghost, Mummy Strips, And A Jack O’Lantern. I Use Black Olives For Eyes, Mouths, And A Spider Design.

  5. I Spread 2 Teaspoons Of Sauce On Each Tortilla Circle. One Crust Gets Shredded Mozzarella, While The Others Just Have Sauce. I Bake For 6 Minutes.

  6. I Decorate The Crusts With The Cheese Cutouts And Olive Details. Then I Return Them To The Oven For 1–2 Minutes, Just Until The Cheese Begins To Melt And The Figures Stay Visible.

  7. I Serve The Mini Halloween Pizzas Warm And Spooky.

Servings And Timing

This Recipe Makes 6 Mini Pizzas. It Takes About 15 Minutes Of Prep Time And 8 Minutes Of Cooking Time, For A Total Of Around 23 Minutes.

Variations

I Sometimes Swap The Tortillas For Pita Bread Or Mini Naan For A Thicker Crust. If I Want More Variety, I Use Bell Peppers, Pepperoni, Or Mushrooms To Create Extra Faces And Characters. For A shortcut, I use store-bought pizza sauce instead of homemade.

Storage/Reheating

If I Have Leftovers, I Store Them In An Airtight Container In The Fridge For Up To 3 Days. To Reheat, I Place Them Back In The Oven At 350°F For 5–7 Minutes To Crisp The Tortillas Again. These Pizzas Aren’t Ideal For Freezing Because The Cheese Designs Lose Their Shape.

Yes, I Often Use Store-Bought Sauce When I’m Short On Time.

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon white wine vinegar

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Mini Halloween Pizzas

3 (10-inch) flour tortillas (see Tip 2)

2 teaspoons olive oil

4 slices mozzarella cheese

1 slice cheddar cheese

4 large black olives

¼ cup pizza sauce

2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Pizza Sauce

Place drained tomatoes in a food processor with garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and oregano.

Process until smooth (about 30 seconds).

Season with salt and pepper. (Makes about 2 cups.)

Mini Halloween Pizzas

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with non-stick foil.

Cut six 4 ½–5-inch circles from tortillas. Brush both sides with olive oil. Toast in skillet until golden (2–3 minutes per side). Place on baking sheet.

Cut ghost, mummy, Pac-Man ghost, and Jack O’Lantern shapes from cheese slices using cookie cutters and kitchen shears.

Create eyes, mouths, and spider legs from black olives.

Spread 2 tsp pizza sauce on each tortilla crust. Top one with shredded mozzarella.

Bake crusts 6 minutes. Remove from oven.

Arrange olive spider on mozzarella pizza; place cheese cut-outs and decorations on other pizzas.

Return to oven 1–2 minutes, just until cheese starts melting but shapes remain visible.

Serve warm for a festive Halloween treat.

Notes

Store-bought pizza sauce works fine if short on time.

Thinner tortillas = crispier crusts (Mission brand works well).

Watch carefully when melting cheese—shapes should remain visible.
