Description
This fruity peach lemonade is the ultimate summer drink! Made with ripe peaches and fresh lemon juice, it’s naturally sweet, tangy, and totally refreshing over ice.
Ingredients
4 ripe peaches, chopped
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar (adjust based on sweetness of peaches)
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4–6 lemons)
6 cups water, divided (2 cups for simmering, 4 cups for dilution)
Ice (for serving)
Optional Garnishes: Peach slices, lemon wheels, fresh mint
Instructions
Simmer the Fruit Base: In a saucepan, combine chopped peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 10 minutes, until peaches are soft and sugar is fully dissolved.
Blend: Use an immersion blender (or transfer to a regular blender) to puree the mixture until smooth.
Strain: Pour the puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Press with a spoon to extract all juice. Discard the pulp. Let cool completely.
Mix Lemonade: Stir in the fresh lemon juice and remaining 4 cups of cold water. Taste and adjust with more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with peach slices, lemon wheels, or mint for a beautiful and flavorful finish.
Notes
Use very ripe peaches for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
Substitute fresh peaches with canned (in juice) or thawed frozen peaches if needed.
Reduce sugar by using honey, maple syrup, or stevia to taste.
Let chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to intensify flavor.
Freeze leftovers in ice cube trays to make refreshing lemonade ice cubes for later use.
