Description

This roasted garlic white chicken pizza features creamy Parmesan sauce, tender chicken, and melty mozzarella on a golden crust. A savory homemade pizza night favorite.

Ingredients

For the Pizza Base:

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing crust)

For the Roasted Garlic White Sauce:

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

1 head of roasted garlic (or 56 cloves), mashed

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Toppings:

1 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

1. Roast the Garlic (if not done ahead):

Slice off the top of a garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast at 400°F (200°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden and soft. Cool and squeeze cloves out.

2. Make the White Sauce:

In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Whisk in flour to form a roux; cook for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.

Stir in mashed roasted garlic and Parmesan cheese.

Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thickened (3–5 minutes), then remove from heat.

3. Assemble the Pizza:

Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.

Roll out the pizza dough on parchment paper into a 12-inch circle.

Spread white garlic sauce evenly over the dough.

Add shredded chicken, then sprinkle with mozzarella and extra Parmesan.

Brush the crust edges with olive oil for golden color.

4. Bake the Pizza:

Transfer pizza (on parchment) to the hot baking surface.

Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

Remove from oven and garnish with fresh herbs and red pepper flakes, if using.

5. Slice and Serve:

Cut into slices and enjoy hot!

Notes

Use store-bought rotisserie chicken to save time.

For extra richness, stir a tablespoon of cream cheese into the white sauce.

Try adding sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or caramelized onions for extra layers of flavor.

Leftovers reheat well in the oven or air fryer.
