Description

Savory breakfast sausage coated in fluffy pancake batter and cooked to golden perfection for a fun morning treat.

Ingredients

12 cooked breakfast sausage links (pork or turkey)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 large egg

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (plus more for cooking)

Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

Prepare Sausages: Cook sausages according to package instructions; set aside to cool slightly.

Make Batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed—do not overmix.

Dip & Cook: Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.

Holding each sausage by one end, dip it into the pancake batter, coating completely.

Place coated sausages on the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Transfer to a plate and serve warm with maple syrup for dipping or drizzling.

Notes

Use pre-cooked sausage links to make the process faster and ensure even cooking.

For a corn dog-style version, insert wooden skewers before dipping in batter.

Swap milk for buttermilk for a tangier flavor and extra fluffiness.
