Description

This seven-layer taco salad is packed with seasoned beef, fresh veggies, cheese, and sour cream, making it the perfect quick and flavorful Tex-Mex dish for any occasion.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

2 cups shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

½ cup sliced black olives

½ cup sour cream

Optional toppings:

Chopped green onions

Avocado

Tortilla chips

Salsa


Instructions

Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.

Stir in taco seasoning and splash of water; simmer 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

In a large serving bowl or trifle dish, layer ingredients in order: lettuce, seasoned beef, tomatoes, cheese, olives, sour cream.

Add optional toppings such as green onions, avocado, tortilla chips, or salsa.

Serve immediately or refrigerate covered for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes
