Sizzling baked cabbage steaks brushed with olive oil and seasoned with garlic salt and black pepper for a simple, healthy side dish.
Ingredients
1 green cabbage
Olive oil, for brushing
Garlic salt, to taste
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
Wash cabbage thoroughly and remove outer leaves.
Trim the stem slightly to prepare for slicing.
Cut cabbage into thick steaks about 1 to 1½ inches thick.
Brush both sides of each cabbage steak generously with olive oil.
Season with garlic salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Arrange steaks evenly on a baking sheet.
Bake for 30–40 minutes until edges turn golden brown and cabbage is tender.
Serve warm and enjoy!
