Description
Crispy, pan-fried chicken smashed into tortillas and topped with romaine, parmesan, and Caesar dressing. A fun, fusion twist on taco night with bold salad flavor.
Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
8 small flour tortillas
2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
½ cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
Cracked black pepper and lemon wedges (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Season Chicken: In a bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Divide into 8 equal portions.
Heat Skillet: Warm a skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil.
Smash & Cook: Place a tortilla in the skillet. Add one portion of chicken to the center. Smash it flat into the tortilla using a spatula or parchment paper with a heavy object. Cook 4–5 minutes until browned, then flip and cook 1–2 minutes more.
Repeat: Repeat with remaining tortillas and chicken.
Assemble Tacos: Top each taco with romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, parmesan, and cracked pepper. Garnish with lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
Caesar dressing can be homemade or store-bought.
Add sliced avocado, bacon bits, or cherry tomatoes for extra toppings.
Smash technique helps crisp chicken into the tortilla for great texture.
