Description

A comforting, savory twist on classic cheeseburgers—this hearty Southern-style pie features seasoned beef, melted cheddar, and a golden Bisquick topping. Perfect for easy family dinners.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp ketchup

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup milk

2 large eggs

½ cup Bisquick mix (or other all-purpose baking mix)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook Beef Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.

Season: Stir in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Mix until well combined.

Assemble Pie: Transfer beef mixture to a 9-inch pie plate. Spread evenly.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.

Prepare Topping: In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and Bisquick mix until smooth.

Pour & Bake: Pour Bisquick mixture over the beef and cheese. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool & Serve: Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce for a spicy kick.

Swap in pepper jack, mozzarella, or a cheese blend to switch up the flavor.

Use a pre-made pie crust if you prefer a more traditional base.

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken.

Great served with a green salad, coleslaw, or sweet potato fries.
