Classic holiday cookies made extra tender with sweetened condensed milk—perfect for cookie exchanges, gifting, or snacking with cocoa.
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup confectioner’s sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter until smooth.
Gradually mix in the sweetened condensed milk until well incorporated.
Sift in flour and baking powder, then stir to form a soft dough.
Scoop and roll dough into small balls. Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden on the bottom.
Cool slightly, then dust generously with confectioner’s sugar.
Notes
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for extra depth of flavor.
Finely chopped pecans, walnuts, or dried cranberries make great add-ins.
For a festive flair, mix in a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
