Description

This classic turkey meatloaf is juicy, flavorful, and topped with a sweet-savory glaze — a healthier twist on comfort food that’s perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

For the Meatloaf:

pounds ground turkey

¾ cup crushed buttery round crackers

½ cup milk

1 small onion, chopped

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1½ teaspoons salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

For the Glaze:

½ cup ketchup

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet.

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, crushed crackers, milk, chopped onion, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared sheet.

In a separate bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to make the glaze.

Bake the meatloaf for 30 minutes. Remove and drain any excess liquid.

Spread glaze evenly over the top.

Return to oven and bake for another 30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Avoid overmixing to maintain a tender texture.

Use parchment paper or foil for easier cleanup.

Letting the meatloaf rest helps retain moisture and makes slicing easier.
